Cycling Programs

Our cycling programs are built around one simple idea: riding bikes should be fun. Whether an athlete is brand new to the sport or already lining up at the front of the pack, we want every practice and race to foster a love for being on two wheels. From trail rides and skills sessions to race-day preparation and team camaraderie, we create an environment where athletes can challenge themselves, build friendships, and experience the excitement of competition in a supportive setting.

A central focus of our season is participation in the Vail Recreation District Town Race Series and the Colorado High School MTB League. These events give our athletes consistent, high-quality racing opportunities right here in our backyard, while also connecting them to the broader Colorado mountain biking community. Racing locally builds confidence and familiarity, while regional competitions expand experience and perspective. We believe there is tremendous value in learning how to prepare, pin on a number, manage nerves, and compete with integrity—skills that translate far beyond sport.

Coaching Methodology

Our programs are intentionally designed for beginners through advanced cyclists. New riders will develop foundational skills, bike handling confidence, and an understanding of race etiquette and pacing. More experienced athletes will refine technical skills, improve fitness, and dive deeper into race tactics, energy management, and season planning. Across all levels, athletes are coached in proper technique, structured training principles, and healthy approaches to performance.

For those who are especially motivated and goal-oriented, we offer individualized training plans built around personal objectives. These plans are delivered through TrainingPeaks, our online training platform, allowing athletes and coaches to collaborate, monitor progress, and adjust training based on race schedules and long-term development. Dedicated cyclists will receive cycling-specific programming that aligns with their goals—whether that’s targeting peak performances at Town Race events, excelling in the Colorado High School MTB season, or building a foundation for multi-sport endurance success.
